Blue Cloud - 60 days

16 years ago 0 1160 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi to Everyone, thanks for your words of encouragement. I have worked thru some of the emotional stuff I needed to. Your comments and suggestions have been very helpful. I can feel myself growing every day. There are alot of triggers and I tend to nerve up in expection of all change. I have handeled some major ones this week and I am still smoke free. It is a constant struggle but I am doing it. I sometimes tell myself to breath through it. I still have thoughts of smoking but have not really considered doing it. I am a non smoker. I love all of you. It seemed like it was just a few weeks ago when a worried Blue Cloud came online and said she was ready to quit. With no slips she held her head up high and made us all proud of her. WAY TO GO BLUE!! You still remind me of this.... blue cloud You are doing a great job of this...Let things go and concentrate totally on quitting...I know it hurts sometimes and I also know that there are times when it seems impossible. But the truth is it is not impossible, in fact it is very probable that you will feel more comfortable with your quit as you move forward. For me smoking was a short cut to sorting out those uncomfortable emotional bits and pieces that make up our character and nature and in some ways have defined our journey to date. But never forget that it dosen't have to be this way always, change and growth are not only possible they are mandatory for human beings. The greatest thing I have learned from this experience is that I have the power to alter my perceptions from within. That ability allows me to deal with external realities in a whole different way than I would have had I continued to stamp the emotions down with cigarettes. The one thing I know is that I will never smoke again, regardless of what the world throws my way. When I was smoking I was being a victim and then I was adding depth to my victimhood by hurting myself with cigarettes. I am no longer that person and I will no longer hurt myself by smoking...I am glad that you are doing the same... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 255 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,650 Amount Saved: $2,677.50 Life Gained: Days: 46 Hrs: 14 Mins: 22 Seconds: 23

Blue Cloud, you're doin' just great!! Don't worry about the mood swings... or any of the hardships that you're encountering right now. They won't last. I promise!! Just keep doing what you're doing. Before long you'll be going entiure days without even thinking about smoking. Sound too good to be true? Well, it's true. It just take time, committment and patience. You'll be just fine! :) Congratulations on 60 days!! That's a super milestone... and no-one gets that far by accident. If you can do 60, you can do 120... and if you can do 120... you're very, very close to "feeling" like a non-smoker...right down to your shoes!
