Crasy, this has very little to do with the price of fish, but your photo looks EXACTLY like a iconic mountain we have here in the South Island of New Zealand. It is called Mitre Peak and is in the Milford Sounds - one of the most truly beautiful places in the world. Can you tell me where your mountain is? It really is so amazingly alike! As to feeling down and sleepless, think of it as recovery for your body. It is dealing with getting rid of toxins so it will be a bit all over the place for a while. It gets so much better - you just wait till you're on that cruise ship heading for the beach. I'm on it now, and it ROCKS!! All you have to do to board the ship is keep on not smoking. You can do it, keep telling yourself that you will do it! Crazycuban, Sleeping disturbances are very common among new quitters. As a smoker, nicotine revved up your metabolism. Your metabolism ate up your energy. Now that you don't smoke you have more energy and your body needs less sleep. Your body adjusts with time. Until then, here a few tips to see you through: �Try to get on a sleep schedule. Go to bed at a regular time each night and get up at a regular time in the morning. Try to not stay up late watching TV and try not to sleep during the day. If you get on a sleep schedule, we guarantee that you�ll begin to feel better. �Try to make the room you sleep in as quiet as possible. Consider ear plugs or a sleep mask. �Use your bed only for sleeping. Don�t lounge around in your bed. If you spend too much time lounging in bed, watching T.V., drinking coffee, or eating, your body will learn that your bed is NOT a place for sleeping. �If you can�t sleep after half an hour in bed don�t stay in bed trying to sleep. Get up and do some quiet activity. For example, read a book for a half hour and then try going back to bed. If you still can�t sleep, get up and do something quiet once again. �Try to keep your bedroom at a comfortable temperature - not too cold and not too hot. �Try to get some exercise every day. You�ll feel better and sleep will come much quicker. �Try not to exercise or work hard late in the evening. It could make you feel �wired�. �Don�t drink anything with caffeine or alcohol for 4 hours before you go to bed. �Try not to eat a heavy meal in the evening. Don�t eat just before you go to bed. �If you�re not sleeping at night, avoid naps during the day. �Use relaxation techniques. Box breathing may help you relax at bed time. Hope this helps. CC, that's very normal. I still have trouble sleeping properly at times, though it's much better than it was when I was just a week into this. Your mind has adjusted to sleeping while effected by a stimulant... nicotine. Now the nicotine is gone and it's going to take a while before your mind adjusts to being drug-free... no stimulant. CC- what time are you taking that chantix? We took ours around 5pm, if you go much later you may have sleep issues. If that is too early to take with dinner, you can bring a snack with you to work or where ever to eat then take you pill. Earlier is better for good sleep!!! Yay Kayla!!!!!! One week is huge!!!!!! I vote for dinner out as a reward ;) From what I've seen on here, it seems that disturbed sleep patterns are common with chantix. But then again, plenty of people who have never smoked have disturbed sleep patterns at times. I agree, though, it is worth it. I think some people have taken their night time dose earlier and that helped them. Now, on to Heck week. You're doing great, buddy!
