Starrider.. GO GIRL!!! Whatever works!! I am sooooo impressed that you ate those seeds and kept your car on the road at the same time.. PS I am the fool smoking a short straw, every time I get in my car!! hi everyone! i tried something different today on my ride home from work.( an hour commute). i bought some sunflower seeds and ate those all the way home. it kept my hands and mouth busy...trying to get that little nut out of it..lol kept me distracted enough that i really didn't think of having a cig. with the help of all of you guys, i got through the 2 week barrier where i have caved in the past and today was much better. the junkie wasn't so loud today. i know one thing for sure, i'm keeping this quit. thank you all for coming to my rescue and for all your great suggestions. i'm keeping them for future reference. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 600 Amount Saved: $97.50 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 15 Mins: 2 Seconds: 23

Keep up the good work Starrider:) This ability to cope is completely available within ourselves. We just need our understanding friends, and lots of practice to make it real and lasting. Today, I saw a young man outside a building catching a quick smoke while I was driving somewhere... and I thought "how un-natural that cloud of blue smoke looks, coming from that body..." Poor guy... He has to do that every 20 minutes or so. We don't anymore, because we took the plunge and made the decision to stop, and we're still here:) I'm thankful for that again tonight - and hope you are too... I'm with you... Tresa, I sure hope I'm as pretty as you are when I'm 58. You're amazingly beautiful. Tomorrow is my 46th B-day... and my gift to myself is that I'm smoke free!:) Ta-da!:) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 375 Amount Saved: $93.75 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 15 Mins: 57 Seconds: 46
