JD So you fell off the wagon? I did it 2X! Now I am back on the wagon for good this time. Dust your bottom off, let it all go and jump right back on the wagon AGAIN. Gather your weapons and fight the nicodemon! Use the fall off as a learning experience--you know why you did it now you know how to COMBAT it. Now is *not* the time to be feeling guilty. And do not beat yourself up too badly. No one on this list will judge you for your slip up. k? Instead, think of this list as your private cheerleading group =) Traci My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/26/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 244 Amount Saved: $48 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 3 Mins: 40 Seconds: 22

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

I smoked two packs a day for the last four months. Had chronic bronchitis. For the last two years, I have asked my doctor to do chest x-rays. You might want to do the same. Hi Everyone, Last night I was talking to hubby and I was driving him nuts asking him questions am I still the same person without smoking. I feel different for some reason. I feel like I am not the same person anymore...like I am a dud or something. He still smokes and he is quitting on Monday. I sometimes feel as if I am going crazy. Learning to adjust to this life has been hard I guess because its change. Yesterday my lungs were hurting me but I still walked. Then today I am nervous I will get lung cancer. Now I am petrified. I have smoked since I was 16 and I am 30 now. Now I am wondering if I really gave myself cancer. These pains in my lungs have really got me thinking. I know its my body cleaning itself out. I am scared now that I dont have a chance in life again. Jeez these emotions really stink. Thanks for listening. I wish I never smoked. I will never ever pick up a cig again. Thank you everyone. I felt so stupid. I have been going to the gym since my original quit date and havent stopped. I am finally taking care of myself. I think with each day it gets better learning your new life without smoking. Hell week sure is tough. I am just not happy I had to start all over again. Does anyone know why I am not feeling the same withdrawels all over again? I am sure the nicotine has left my body. I feel calmer and stronger. Hi everyone, I am so embarressed thats why I have not been on. I caved Saturday night and snuck three cigs. I was going crazy. I was really obsessed. The weird thing is after I did that I felt so much calmer. I was an idiot. I feel off the horse but got right back on. I have not picked up a cig since. I changed my quit date also. I feel like a failure for doing that but feel more confident now. No clue if its cause my hubby finally quit as of Monday. Sorry for failing. If I can find a post that i did around your time, when I thought my head was going to explode, when I thought that I was going insane. When I thought that i could only be normal if I smoked.. I will bump it up. What you are going through IS normal.. keep going. it DOES get better. You are beating this, you mind will have a paddy about it, but DONT give in. I know right now its hard. It really is. But later... It will be like a cloud has lifted, it will be worth it. I promise it will be as simple as choosing not to smoke thats about it. Well I think so anyway.
