For me the first day or two wasnt that as bad as each day has been thereafter. I think the first days were novelty but now this is real and it is hard! I think the reason I am sticking with my quit is that I would hate to have to go through this all over again :( I am really praying after a few more weeks I will be over the hill and everything for the most part will be downhill :)

Interesting posts. My toughest day was Day 6, it was brutal, I posted on here. Since then I've been okay, but I'm waiting for Day 30, I here it's a tough one too. Wow, wow, wow!! There has got to be a link with eating chocolate and increased cravings!! This has been my worst day so far (day 15), and last night and this morning for the first time in my quit I ate a bunch of chocolate!! Before this I ate virtually no chocolate or sweets and my cravings were manageable, but today - awful (but I didn't give in and remain smoke-free).... I think the hardest days for me were the first 2 and then around 10&11 I really wanted a cig. But I made up my mind not to smoke and I just kept putting it off and I got through it. One day at a time for now.I don't crave it anymore, I think about it maybe 2 or 3 times day, some days more. I never could make the crave "pass" all the other times I tryed to stop, and I think that is why I never quit before when I tryed. I am taking wellbutrin now and it helps ALOT. I get the chocolate thing now too! I always liked it but now it seems I can't get enough on some days. Just remember, you can lose weight, but you can't lose CANCER! Days 2 & 3 were hardest, because I was going thru my "normal routine" which obviously involved smoking......having a coffee in the morning, taking a break from work mid-morning, in the car, after lunch......you know. Routine. Now that I am past the routine triggers, the craves aren't as strong. I may fleetingly think about a smoke in the morning, but then it's gone. I haven't had a crave in the car for I don't know how long, and after meal craves are pretty much banished too. Now it's the ones which catch you from behind. Like having a fight with your spouse, talking to a friend on the phone whom you haven't spoken to for a while, being nervous about something........the unexpected ones are sneaky! Good post, Bones..........thanks!
