Excellent for you both Cherie and Sammy!  It's really great to see you both winning!  You're getting through the toughest part of your quits and cheering each other on!  Way to go!!

Hey Donna!!!

You're still doing great!  You're right... the really hard part is over!  You have a great outlook now and you're starting to realize the first couple of positive benefits of your quit!  Your breathing is going to get better and better, as will your sense of smell!  Just watch out!!!  Your sense of taste is going to rapidly improve, too!   Mmmmm... FOOD!!!

       Way to go!!!

Hey Donna!!!

Triggers are always lurking in the shadows and some of them can really be a HEAVY ball and chain hanging around your neck when they hit.  Keep your list of coping mechanisms close, along with your list of reasons for quitting!  Reading them over when a powerful crave hits can really help!  One of my main coping mechanisms and distractions when a tough crave began was to head to the stairs (at work) and start climbing!  I would breath deeply and rhythmically with every step and just concentrate on one step at a time!  It was really good exercise, got some oxygen to my brain and it chased the demon away!

It's going to take a while for the intense craves to subside, but every time you kick that demon's ash, you get stronger!  You learn that you have the power and mindset to succeed!  Learn to tell the nico-demon N.O.P.E.!!!    By the way, you're still doing GREAT!

Hey Donna!!!

Great job riding out that storm!  You did the right thing to come here and post!  Distraction is important to help quell and intense crave and hanging out here is a great distraction!  Stick close and post as often as you need or want to!  That's how we get 'er done!  You CAN do this!

Hi Sammy.Glad to see you won the battle. It seems we all have to work through all the triggers we have accumulated through our smoking years.
My worst day was the 24th day.I am still not sure what set it off and it took all my energy to fight it.From that point on it has only gotten better.
I will always keep my gaurd up but for most days now I do not even think about having a smoke. We should all be proud of each day we win back and be sure to reward
ourselfs for being so strong. It sounds like you have taken control and are well on your way in your quit.
