Day Three - The Wrapper Explosion

HadEnough, Congratulations on 3 days smoke-free! The first three days are usually the hardest, and you've accomplished this! You should be very proud! The quit is a process and your body is healing from years of damage. Pamper yourself and get plenty of rest during this time. Very soon, you will begin to reap the benefits of being smokefree (like being able to smell and taste better). These were the first signs that I recall of improved health and they are rather pleasant! I couldn't believe how wonderful brownies smelled and tasted! I also enjoy rewarding myself with great smelling bubble bath potions (and I can really smell them now)! Stay close and let us know if you have questions or just need to talk. Hey WAY TO GO on three smoke-free days!! WHOOOOHOOO!! You're doing great! Those are some purty kitties! We just got a new kitten two weeks ago, that looks a little like your cats! She's so cute! I cracked up about the wrapper in the toilet, LOL. Day three is almost up! .. I'm smoke free! After yesterday's food fest I made a concerted effort not to eat between meals today and actually did pretty good! I spent the morning picking up gum ball and hard candy wrappers off the floor. The cats apparently in protest of the decline of gum balls to bat around decided to take all the empty wrappers out of garbage cans and festoon them around the house and in my bed .. and being waken up at 8am by strange crunchy sounds which turned out to be me rolling over empty wrappers didn't start my day out very well since I didn't get to sleep until 5am. I'm still trying to figure out how one got IN the toilet since I'm religious about putting the top down. I'm feeling kind of depressed today as well .. the knee jerk reaction of reaching for ciggs at specific times has lessened a degree or so. I don't spend as much time dwelling on the fact they aren't there. The cravings are still there, but a wee bit easier to almost ignore. I guess it's a type of mourning I'm going through. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement .. it really helps .. I'm ready face day 4 as soon as I check the bed for empty wrappers.
