Hi Princess, You are doing a great job. Just remember as one very wise person on this site said, that person is probably wishing that they were you and had almost two weeks of quitting under their belt. Plus trust me, I sat by a smoker for the last three days at a work shop. It was not a pleasant smell. You are doing a great job. Just do whatever you need to do to keep the quit. It truly is worth fighting for. That goes for you too Jean. Please remember to yell for help and want for a response. The cravings do pass and with time this road gets a lot easier to travel. Have a great weekend and know that we are there for you. Well done princess ! I know for a FACT that I will NOT be able to be around smoker's for a very long time. I noticed that in the few days I've been quit, just watching a movie with someone smoking it starts to get under my skin and a wee crave begins to surface..how nuts is that! Congrats on your 12 days.. and way to go putting on that patch :) I too use the patch and it, plus a positive attitude is making this very doable! well its been 12 days and so far i havent killed anyone. i had a really bad time for awhile yesterday. i decided since i quit id reward myself and my hubby with cable tv. the gal was young and very good at what she does. then i spotted her out near the street smoking a cig. i wanted to run out and grab it out of her hand and smoke it. the idea of a smoke stayed with me for the rest of the afternoon and i kept telling myself no dont go there. i even thought on waiting til this morning and have one instead of putting my patch on. well by this morning my mind was changed. i stuck my patch on for another day. guess im not ready to be around smokers just yet.
