Day 8 and I am beginning to think why am I even doing this I am not hurting anyone else and it's driving me nuts. It's worse than getting off perscription drugs the Dr had me hooked on. I can only take so much and I think I've had it with trying so hard. I am on day 7 and it isn't nearly as bad as i thought it would be. I really want to thank everyone at this site, u have helped out so much! I still get cravings but they go away pretty quick. I still have the nicotine talking to me in my head saying "why are you quitting, you can smoke every now and then and how much i miss it" but i just keep coming back to this site and i realize that one cigarette isn't worth it. Anyways thank you everyone for helping me thru it. Sarah

Good for you, Lucky! I had little renegade cig icons running around in my head, but I bombed them one day, and now they only peak around a corner once in a while. They are scared to just run around in plain sight like they were doing before. :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 88 Amount Saved: $15.44 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 0 Mins: 33 Seconds: 26

Lucky, I hated the voices. Sometimes I didn't ever think they would go away. But at 60+ days quit now, the things I don't miss: Bad Smoker's cough...all gone Sore dry throat every day...all gone wheezing from climbing stairs......this has improved chest pains....all gone! smelling like an ashtry....all gone More time with my kid's and doing things other than smoking has improved greatly. Congratulations to you. What are some things you are noticing that are improved in just a week. Let's count our blessings before heading into heck week.
