Hi Sparkle - I agree with Lynne, no matter how much you love your fiance, you need to make this quit your own. It's not possible to quit until your desire to quit is stronger than your desire to smoke.
Lots of people prefer to go cold turkey because it gets the nicotine out of your system more quickly and many have been successful. However, if you are feeling like you just can't stand it, I would suggest talking to your Doctor or Pharmacist about alternatives. I used the patch which helped alot. I've also heard alot of good things about the new medication called Chantix. Whatever works for you, do it.
Take a look at the tools on this page. You will learn a whole new set of skills to help you along the way. Skill #1 - Distraction (walks, naps, gum, sugar-free candies, straws, cinnamon sticks, posting on scc, green tea - again, whatever works for you)
