this is day 4 and my friend wants to have just one cigg a day , i know myself and i cant do that. it is almost like we are in junior high trying to sneak . so far so good i havent , now just wish i could get her to stop talking about it.this time around is going better than i thought . i havent over eaten or snacked at night like times in the past. if i need hard candy it is sugar feww which aint bad at all. jolly rancher , and baskin robins are really good for a quik fix . wish i was on the tred mill more but at least 20 minutes a day i get on there. for some reason i cant download the instant messenger here. i am a stay at home house slave so stop on by . by xmas i might have killed 2 trees by doodling while on the phone or on here but well worth it . . lauraText

Your friend will learn their lesson soon enough. No need for you to learn it with them. Not a single person that has successfully quit will come on here and say that they have managed to cut down to just one a day. It doesn't work that way as I think you know. I can understand the hope that that would be true, because I've hoped it myself, but I was back to a pack a day soon enough. Not One Puff Ever is the only way to quit for ever. Ewwwwwwwwww....first of all...one a day is not possible, because then it turns into 2 then 3 then 25! Secondly....that's like torture! You just keep yourself addicted so that you have to wait another 24 hours to readdict yourself! (Hmmmm....is readdict a word??) Glad you aren't going for it! OMG, everyone is soooo right. One a day would be my undoing, as I think would be the case with most smokers. I'd be right back up to a pack before I knew. Yup...that is what my hubby does!!! One a day in the morning and it is not working at all. He cannot figure out why he still craves and eats the nic lozenges. And in the evening he is just a grouch. Well, duh he keeps withdrawling from nicotine everyday. I try to tell him but sometimes you just have to let them learn on their own!! :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 66 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,660 Amount Saved: $231 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 8 Mins: 17 Seconds: 11
