Day 2 - What is wrong with me

Actually I think the Peter Gabriel thing must be subconscious cheer leading. There are lyrics in the song that say "I kicked the habit, kicked the habit, kicked the habit. I will shed my skin. THis is a new start. I'll go dancing in". Awesome! I can't even think today. Seriously, it is like everything looks like a Peter Gabriel Video. You know, sledgehammer. I get really happy, and then tired, and then a craving. Cravings are tough today, and I keep my quit close, but I am trying to sell myself out. I really want this, but it takes more than want doesn't it. It takes do! Actually it takes Do not! I liked the comment someone had that Smoking is not a reward. It is helping me. Cravings like every 10 minutes right now. This is hard. Thanks. YOu are getting more oxygen to your brain (smoking sent carbon monoxide instead of the full dose of oxygen). That is what is causing the lack of concentration/spacey feeling. It is very normal. As long as you are determined to not light that next cig, you will make it. Review your reasons for quitting several times a day through this week. Lay on the sofa; do nothing; read a book; go for a bike ride or a walk. It will get better. Hang tough.
