Hi everyone,
It took a lot of control yesterday to not go and buy those stinking cigarettes. My husband and I have been through a lot this past year and he will be going back to work after a major accident on the job close to a year ago. He called me at work and as I was talking to him in a nice calm voice--he started yelling at me. Ok...let me tell you...his doctor gave him a release to go back to work dated yesterday, which means he should call his company to let them know. Well, he proceeded to say that he would call them next Tuesday (almost a week later). He has never missed anytime from work in the 16 years we have been together. I on the other hand have dealt with doctor excuses and I tried to explain that he couldn't wait a week and decide to go back when he felt like it...that is when the screaming began and I had to hang up. I can't deal with that type of turmoil at this point. He did call me back and apologize but at this point there have been way too many apologies for it to really mean anything anymore. I was so close to finding my best friend yesterday (Marlboro is his name) and having a single conversation, but I will not blow my 43 days of not smoking and I really need to find a best friend that will give me advice and not make me cough. It is hard for me to post during the day at work, since I should be working and not playing on the internet. I called my friend at work and I will plan a getaway vacation for next weekend or very soon!! I love coming here and reading other posts, it really distracts me from how I am feeling. Stay strong everyone and thank you for the support that I need when I am feeling my lowest.
Darcy
