Darcy,
The quit in early stages is very difficult with the constant thought of finding that best friend. In time these feelings will pass and you will be able to handle things without turning to that friend. It takes time. Be patient with yourself and don't forget the rewards. They really are important.
I think it's great that you were able to just walk away from the situation (by hanging up). Protect your quit at all costs. That is what matters right now. Everything else can take care of itself. You are doing great. Keep going. The rewards of being smoke free are endless.

Hi, Darcy.
It sounds to me like hubby may be afraid to go back to work, since the year off was the result of a major accident on the job. To be cliche', he's afraid to climb back on the horse. That's a normal reaction to a traumatic event and I expect that he silently feels terrible about it. That may explain his outburst. Yelling at you was really yelling at himself by proxy. A professional counselor for post-traumatic stress disorder may be a good idea.
Keep in mind that if you do give in to the stress and smoke, it will probably just add to his guilt. At any rate, it will serve no good purpose. Stay strong, Darcy. Lean on us when you need to. That's what we're here for.
