Is this your first day? Take a deep breath.... hold it in...... exhale deep breath.... hold it in...... exhale deep breath.... hold it in...... exhale deep breath.... hold it in...... exhale deep breath.... hold it in...... exhale deep breath.... hold it in...... exhale Now count like this 1001.... 1002..... 1003.... 1004...... 1005..... 1006...... 1007...... 1008 That is how often someone dies from a smoking related comlication. I read that on another post (sorry for stealing it!!!) I love it. It really hit home for me. Read all you can on what smoking does to your body. I looked at pictures, and they stuck in my mind...... Go through your reasons for quitting, and keep them close. Drink water..... Drink water.... Drink water..... and more water!!!! Get some hard candies, licorice, anything you want, just do not smoke. I'm proud you came here! You can do it!!!! I'll be right here for you! Milaya, Breath, Breath, Breath, and Breath. Drink lots of water. The craving only last a few minutes. Rub a circle on top of your lip, I heard this takes the crave away. Hi Milaya. Welcome to the first day of your new life and congratulations on your decision to quit. You've gotten a lot of support here from some good people. I just wanted to say that you are doing great. Post away, take deep breaths, drink a lot of water, have your candy, mints and gum handy. There is a lot of information on these boards that will help you get through the tough times. Remember to take it one step at a time, five minutes at a time in the beginning. You just don't smoke for the next 5 minutes. Then repeat... You are going great!
