Humorous quitting experiences

I have one that I got a lot enjoyment out of... At about the 60 day point into this quit I stepped on the bathroom scale and took inventory. It was clear that I needed to start an exercise routine so I looked at my schedule and decided the morning was the best time to take care of business. I went into work and stopped to talk to the boss about flexing my schedule to accommodate the new exercise regiment. He looked at me in disbelief and asked if I was serious. I of course answered to afirmative and he said "you're in here at least an hour early every day, why don't you use that time?" A momentary pause is all it took. I wish I could attribute this soley to my quit, but it honestly didn't occur to me that I was starting so much ahead of my schedule, it was my routine. Needless to say I exercise every morning and I'm still at work ahead of schedule, just not an hour ahead. Not recently but I think it was the second week of my quit, I actually went outside to my usual smoking spot after lunch, opened my purse to get a smoke & then remembered I don't smoke. Shook my head & went back inside for some more water. I love this stuff! It really brings out a realization of the addiction and it is also good for some humor :) Josie, Support Specialist

This is great. I guess one of mine would be the first few days wen I could not concentrate well but still was "working". My boss came back to me a week later and asked what all this was. She was referring to some documents I wrote for an upcoming project. I reread them and I have never seen anything that has made less since. Some of it was pure rambling. It was funny as she asked me to redo all my work from the first 3 days. She did not know I quit so it was more funny to me that she thought I lost my mind... Glad that is over My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 775 Amount Saved: $155.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 22 Mins: 12 Seconds: 36
