Seamus, forget the reasons to stay quit. The addict will counter every reason you have with some bogus rationalization.
You've committed to doing this... so do it. That's the way you have to approach this. You knew going in what your reasons were, and they were good reasons... but don't look to them now. Just know that you believed they were good enough... and now you are going to act on them... no matter what. No matter whether the reasons now seem good enough, no matter how bad you feel, no matter how terrified you are of a life without cigs.
You won't die without a cig, and that's all that matters. You feel pain, grief, nervousness? You feel like you're going out of your mind? Are you shakey? Does you stomach bother you? Can't sleep?
So what? None of that is going to kill you.
The cigarettes will kill you.
