Cy, As soon as I logged onto SSC this morning, I went directly to this post to hear about what shananigans you were involved in last night! Thank you for the daily smiles & chuckles! P.S. I've heard that professional sky diving is a hot profession.... Wow virtual vacations, how exciting...and free. Bet you can hardly wait to get to sleep at night. I've had one dream so far (I'm doing cold turkey),almost took a drag on a cigarette in the dream then remembered...I don't smoke. Bor-rring! The dreams were literally "a trip" for me. Some were good and others I could have done without, but very realistic and adventurous for me as well. Felt like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible at times. I was telling my dad about the dreams from the patches one day. He is in his 70's. He listened intently as I described one of these dreams and when I was finished he said, "you don't have an extra patch for me do you?" ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 69 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,040 Amount Saved: $345 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 7 Mins: 18 Seconds: 36

Hi Cybrduke, I think you really have hit the nail on the head with your analysis. Can I also play armchair pshycologist? I'm assuming you haven't done any of those things before? Your dreams may also be representing new challenges and experiences in your life brought on by quitting. Quitting is also a new challenge, but you seem to be conquering it, so good for you!!! Now where do we hang our shingles? Cybrduke, I am still LMAO as I type this. If I could have dreams like that, I don't think I would ever get out of bed!! No wonder you're enjoying them. And those are just the ones you're telling us about. What Kind of patch are you on because I sure want myself some of those!! I was on the patch for 8 weeks and I had to take mine off at night because of my vivid dreams. Unfortunately for me, mine were extremely realistic nightmares. The kind where you wake up in a cold sweat. I say enjoy, enjoy!! You may never want to give them up though and may have to join a support group for patch wearers. lol. I've heard people talking about having vivid dreams with the patch on. I'm using the patch and I have to say - yes it's very true. Here's my question - does anyone enjoy these vivid dreams? I hate to say it but I sure am. Last night I was on a space shuttle mission. No kidding. I wasn't the pilot but I was one of the crew. I remember training under water, being in classes, I remember lift off, the feeling of being weightless, names, faces.... it was by far one of the most vivid dreams I have ever had. In the past few weeks I've also been scuba diving, involved in some kind of stage play, an escapee from a prison being hunted down, and a bunch of other things. If this was disrupting my sleep I'd do something about it, but I wake up rested and feeling great, and like I've been on some great adventure. These dreams are like technicolor! Like HDTV or something. Any comments from other patch people? That's pretty funny Daloosh - I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one having these vivid dreams. You're dad sounds like a hot ticket. I'm impressed at your 69 days smoke free. I'll be there soon myself. Keep up the good work my friend.
