Good Afternoon, We do not allow the posting of URL€™s, atricles or information about products. In some cases we allow the posting of URL€™s, but only if the URL links to a not-for-profit organization or news article. If we did allow people to post URL€™s or links to sites that market products the Support Group would be inundated with spam. Our goal is to help people understand Panic and Anxiety, and we do not promote other products or services. If you have any questions or concerns with our actions please refrain from posting them on the site and contact us at support@paniccenter.net. It seems that as similar as the SSRI drugs are (Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil, Celexa etc), they each affect people totally differently. More so, It seems as people's body chemistry changes due to age, diet, and other factors, these meds may no longer work as they did once before which - from personal experience- is very frustrating. When I was 21 or so, I could tolerate Zoloft, but now at 27 I was on it for a few months and it not only aggravated my panic and agoraphobia, it made me anxious, agitated, nauseaus and gave me the worst night sweats! Like Cookie and so many others have said, "Everybody is different". I'm back on Prozac and it seems to be slowly bringing me back to where I was prior to the Zoloft fiasco (I went off of it in Sept 04 when I had a massive PA thinking it was no longer working; noone had ever told me about setbacks and relapses). Is it ok to post links to articles? I have some good info from reputable sources if that's ok in this forum.... -P-

On Day 10, I went to the ER with a massive attack that had me feeling like I was vibrating all over. I give up on anti-depressants. My boyfriend has been really supportive latelt and wants me to try to beat this without anti-depressants and with behavior therapy and positive self-talk. I am trying. I have been having a lot of tingling and numbness lately and sometimes I feel like I have a buzzing/vibrating in my chest. Does anyone else have that? I also have chondritis and acid reflux so maybe it is related to that instead??? Needless, to say NO MORE ZOLOFT. I hope it works better for you guys than it did for me. Everybody is different.

My zolft intake just went from 50-100mg. Anyone know if the side effects (nausea, insomnia) will reoccur because of the increase???

TCFade, please give the Zoloft some time to work, it really will help you. The first two weeks or so you will alternate from feeling like your head is filled with cotton to a kinda numb feeling. But it does go away and it actually goes away quite quickly. I have been taking 50 mg Zoloft for Panic Disorder for 5 years and it works wonders. I am currently going through a really tough relapse, but more because of things going on in my life. See, I took the medicine, but I never went to therapy until this year. I never learned to cope with attacks properly and I let all this stress and tension build up until 2 weeks ago on the 1 year anniversary of my dad's death (he was my best friend and he died suddenly and unexpectedly). I started having these terrible attacks and this unbelievable depression. But I increased my zoloft to 75 mg and tried to work through it. I won't lie to you, it is a hard thing to fight your own demons, but it really does get better. Just stick to the medicine and give it some time to work. Also, take the time to see a therapist, you will be glad you did. As for me, I am still fighting through the residual anxiety and depression from that terrible, terrible week I had two weeks ago. But I know I will come through it stronger than before. You have to have faith. God bless you and good luck! Ben

Hi TCFade, Fellow members will be responding to your post soon, but please also be sure to discuss your medication concerns with your doctor or pharmacist, and not to make any changes in your dose without consulting with them first. This too is my 4th day with taking Zoloft. The first day I felt nothing. The 2nd day I felt a bit relaxed. The 3rd time I felt lightheaded within the first hour of taking it...and am still feeling a bit 18 hrs later. I feel numb... without emotion...I thought of something that normally would made me a bit depressed...and I felt nothing. what used to be good feelings or bad ones i feel emotionless. when i think of my girlfriend something that normally would make me all happy and excited i fell nothing. i have to take my next meds in 6 hours, im worried that these feelings of emotionless won't go away. i dont want to be some zombie. i find myself fake smiling so that i dont look like im zoning out. i also read many horror stories out there that make me wonder if i should of just coped with everything without perscriptions. What are youre guys feedback?

I have been taking zoloft for almost 2 months now. I don't think it's working. My doctor gave me valium for when I got an attack but i kept getting horrible headaches with that. Now she gave me xanax - which i'm really scared of - i've heard horror stories about them. I also have a fiance that is bipolar - which does not help anything. He won't take his meds - so i never know what kind of day it's going to be. I love him very much and I don't blame anything on him, he's had a very rough childhood. Anyway, I'm hoping my medicine starts working soon! :)

Do not give up and you are NOT imagining it. Your anxiety is worse at first but you can do it. When your body adjust you will feel soooo much better!

I have been on Zoloft for several months it is helping me. At 3 days you are probably at 25 mg. This is usually a test dose to make sure you do not have an allergic reaction. Over the next few weeks your Doctor will start working you up to a therapeutic dosage. You may want to ask for something in addition to the Zoloft to help you through the next few weeks. There are medications that can be taken with Zoloft that act faster for immediate episodic relief, but be sure to ask your doctor about the medication so you'll know what you are taking. I am sorry you are having a bad time, but with a little time and somehelp, both medically and behaviorally you can get better. Life can be good again. I wish you all the best.
