New to Zoloft

I have been taking Zoloft for 12 days. My panic was worse the first week but only because I was so afraid of side affects. Each day it seems like my side affects (whether real or imagined) are getting less and less. Hang in there, it will get better with time. It does get better. I looked at it that I would be miserable for a while to be happy later. I'm not to the happy yet but I'm on my way.

The first few weeks on SSRI's can be activating (increased anxiety, agitation, nervousness etc). Many doctors prescribe a Benzodiazapine like Klonopin or Xanax to offset the inital anxiety. I'm taking Klonopin for that purpose. (I hate drugs, this is very tough for me) Remember, the meds start to work right away on your brain chemistry it just takes some time before you feel better overall. You may also be feeling anxious because you're nervous about starting a new drug. Will it work? How long will it take? What next? I have the same questions as I've just switched from Zoloft back to Prozac.

Today is only day 4 of taking Zoloft, but the past few days my anxiety/panic has been worse than before I started taking it. I know I won't feel the full effects of the meds for a few weeks so am I imagining this? Is it possible to be feeling anxious side effects right away? I am on edge with a constant feeling of anxiety. Does this happen to others and you eventually got passed it and got better? I am afraid it is an indication that this med is just going to make me worse.
