Summer7,
I'm not sleeping as well.  Sometimes this forum, as others have stated, can exacerbate our uneasiness.   I'm usually isolated, so I'm not feeling the loneliness, but feeling almost an intimacy which is uncomfortable.  It's good to be alive.

A mantra I started my day with is "If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space".

Summer, how are your daily goals coming?

Hi, I have the same symptoms. I feel like I can't breathe. Think I'm not breathing. Think my throat is closing. Its a horrible feeling. I am still trying to deal with it also. Some days I do better than others. My neck will sometimes hurt because of the way I am breathing because I start to panic breathe. I would try some breathing exercises. Sometimes they help me but sometimes I can't get the non breathing out of my head either. Just keep trying :) you can do it! And know that you are not alone with these symptoms. Summer7

Rob, unless you have arthritis in your neck causing inflammation then this is anxiety. It is one of the first symptoms I ever had and it reoccurred often. There is little you can do short of medication if the relaxation techniques don't work. If you can get the anxiety down with CBT it will fade away.
You and I are not the only ones this happened to.

Pretty bad what is happening in Japan, it bothers me too, but how else will I know with out watching it. Nothing I can do except feel for them and be glad I'm not there.

Here for you,
Davit.

Hi T3chn0geek,

This sounds like a symptom of anxiety; however, if you are concerned about the symptom it is best to talk with a Health Care Professional.  This symptom can occur if anxious due to the throat contracting.  You will not stop breathing, swallowing or eating but it is an unpleasant symptom.  The best way to alleviate this symptom (if it is related to anxiety) is to control the anxiety.  The program will help you with this.  The relaxation techniques session may be able to provide you with immediate relief.

Members, please share your experiences and suggestions.

T3,
Is there a reason you want to trigger another panic attack by watching an earthquake?
How does that help you?
