Trying to get into the spirit

12 years ago 0 1665 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi everyone:  Trying to get into the Christmas spirit but not especially succeeding.  It's o.k.  It might come eventually especially since I am starting to do holiday baking and listening to Christmas carols. This reminds me of the "fake it 'til you make it" philosophy.  Or the "keep smiling and the world smiles with you" sort of thing.  Seeing my son and grandchildren wk. between Christmas and New Year so that is something I am looking forward to.
So around lunch time when the sun was shining brightly, Davit took me onto one of the farther trails (I'm still a bit nervous on my own even if the bears are asleep.  There was a cougar just last month).  We picked out our Christmas tree and I cut it down with a sawzall.  It was soooo beautiful with the soft snow covering the trees and the way they hung over the trail and gently sprinkled us when we passed.  We used the tractor as Davit can't walk that far especially in deep snow.  Wow, I could have stayed out forever, the smell of fresh pine and spruce is fantastic.  Saw deer tracks as usual but nothing else.
I'll try and get a pic up as avatar.
Sunny
