Lost dreams.

Thanks!

It was more of a self imposed, old low self esteem thought, "I hope people don't think I'm trying to take over."  And, probably no one thought that, except me :) :) :)  Some times issues of our past, rear their ugly heads from time to time.  And, it's our own negative core belief issues rather than other people.  So, what I'm trying to say is it's me, not you :)  And, thanks for your support.

Hi Shari,

I'm just like anyone else, so let's support each other until our wings take us to far away lands(like Disneyworld)

Oh!  Absolutely!  That's nice of you.  I felt like I've temporarily taken over your Quote for the Day and I'm just glad you're not upset with me :)  I try to be helpful, but I don't want anyone to feel like I'm taking over all of the posts :)

Thanks, Shari

Hi Shari,
I hope it's okay to start a thread based on your suggestions that we reconnect with out lost passions and dreams

Hi,

Some times we have dreams in our hearts, but it's not the right timing.  I've wanted to live in Florida, my whole life.  I tried moving here 7 years ago and everything went wrong and I was forced to move back to Maryland.  Now, I tried it again, and it seems that the timing is right.  So, never give up on the hope of your dreams, because maybe if they don't come to pass today, they will in the future.

Some times our dreams change, or we can find new dreams of what we can do now which takes the sting out of dreams that are lying dormant.  I hate to say that dreams die, because you never know what can happen in the future.  There is always
hope.

If it's a physical limitation, no fault of our own, then there's an opportunity to explore new things we can do in the realm of our abilities and what we can do.  It might be fun to try something new, that we hadn't thought of before, and find that we enjoy it.  I remember finding knitting and I taught myself how.  And, now there are limitless projects that I couldn't possibly finish in a lifetime, that are free on line.  It's relaxing and therapeutic and if I hadn't had an injury at the time, I would have never discovered the passion.

I also know we aren't going to do everything we've wanted to, but if we focus on what we can do and remember the good times of when we did things that we love, that we don't do anymore, maybe we can find a little peace in that.

Hi Davit,
My life is nothing like what I could ever imagine.

Remember the song "...you don't always get what you want...but sometimes you get what you need...".

Now I know what it means

How many people wake up to find they are not going to do all that they planned. It can be very depressing. It can be very challenging to get over too.

Davit.
