That's a great idea! I'll definitely do that! I'll post when I can and it will probably be more regular once I'm settled down there. I still have organizing and packing to do before the move and then I'll be unpacking and getting organized once I'm down there. I'm so glad everyone is understanding and I can come back and post at anytime. It's really comforting.
You might want to set up a discussion just for you and your move. You can go there to check in and post your thoughts to ensure you are on track. But it's up to you - whatever you think will be helpful.
Thanks for the sound advice! It's true that anxiety can sneak up on you and catch you off guard. I'm armed with the coping skills I've learned here and will put them into action should the need arise. It feels good to have confidence that I can handle it :)
I'm really looking forward to hearing about your adventures!
I just want to warn you that sometimes during high stress times (even positive stress) like moving anxiety can temporarily be triggered. I am sure it will be nothing you can't handle just be on the look out for anxiety symptoms if they arise. As I am sure you know, this will be an incredible learning opportunity for you. Very, very exciting!
I really appreciate you, the Panic Center, every Health Educator, and everyone in this support group. If it weren't for all of you, I wouldn't be where I am today. I am so thankful I found this site; it changed my life. I just can't seem to stay away for long, because everyone is like family to me. Although, I'll be in Florida (leaving on Sept. 8), I will get my email set up as soon as possible and continue to visit everyone. I love to hear all of the encouraging and positive news and I can share what's going on in Florida. Sometimes I have down times as well and need to stop by for some courage and there's plenty of courage here. The support is so valuable and important. Thanks a million!
Yes, I have been completely cured of Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia by taking this Panic Program. I haven't had a panic attack in two years. I've written about it in detail in past posts. But, to sum it up in a nut shell. Follow the program and you will be cured. Panic is a learned behavior, so you can unlearn it. You can retrain your brain by using the coping skills given in this program. Some times I have anxiety , but it never kicks over into panic anymore. I've found when anxiety seems higher, I just review everything I've learned in this program and its gets me back on track. Some anxiety is normal, because people without Panic Disorder have anxiety at times, the difference is it doesn't interfere with their lives. I used to sit on the side lines, but now I'm participating in life. I'm moving to Florida in 3 weeks and I'm looking forward to making new friends, joining clubs and getting a job. I can't wait to go zip lining and take an air boat ride, and be trainer for a day at Gatorland and Sea World. And, this is all thanks to the Panic Center, the Health Educators and everyone in this support group. Davit is a huge part of my becoming cured and I'm so happy that I checked the posts today and have found out he is much better and is posting again. He has helped so many people and I, as I'm sure many others, will always be thankful. It's amazing to look back when I began this program. I had panic attacks at traffic lights, and could barely leave the house or drive anywhere. Now, I'll be driving to Florida and driving into a whole new chapter of my life and I'm excited about the adventure and my future. I am no longer paralyzed by fear and I'm armed with my coping skills for life. Thanks everyone!!!
