Davit and the other group members....

I am reclusive myself and yes coming here is a good start to being social elsewhere..This is what enabled me to start taking classes..Classes are in summer break for the time being..I do miss them even though it is hard for me to get out the door and to them..I feel much better when I am engaged with other people that I share a common interest with..I had to expand my world beyond the group here so that I could move forward..For me having hope and encouragement and sharing with others is a very important part of my recovery. I found that I needed to step outside of the box in order to get what I needed..At the moment I am relaxing and doing a little reading...but at the same time I am looking for something new and interesting to engage myself in..Like a new class, maybe a book club, or a new hobby. I really don't know just yet but one thing I do know is that I need to keep my mind engaged and stimulated in a positive way if I want to continue to move in a positive direction with my life...

Well that too. And I'm glad we can find and supply that here because it is part of the healing process. Being reclusive I argued with my therapist that I could live without the social aspects of life but she was right. It is our nature even if it is hard. Social here is a good start to social elsewhere.

Davit,

I think not.
Maybe we are just looking for a glimmer of hope and some words of encouragement...

Quote of the Day:
Disciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important, although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem, and personal satisfaction.
- Brian Tracy

Doing the smallest step each day, even though it did't compare to the rest of "the worlds' grand achievements, and trampling over my negative core beliefs daily, has made for a rough, but satisfying road of achievements.

Red & Davit,
Both of you are helping me to see the options.

Red,

If it were easy to do would any of us be here?

Hugs,

Good for you for looking at the positive and getting up and enjoying your new shower wand that you bought and relaxing in nice shower this morning.

Hugs.

Why do you not have faith in yourself? Why Maybe? Why not something more positive?
Why not just go ahead and enjoy the day, come hell or high water?
Why not just succeed one moment at a time till they all run together?
Why not give yourself permission to do this and set the maybe's and negatives aside?

Charles might be a bit simplistic but it is the right idea.

Quote of the Day:
Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.
- Charles F. Kettering

Today I woke up much earlier, wishing to try out a shower wand which I purchased, or do anything to enjoy the lower stress I felt, after persevering at life, rather than just accepting mediocrity.  Maybe after all, I can succeed
