Waking Up As Dr Jekyl or Dr Hyde on Alternate Days

I remember being younger and taking a course every night of the week since I had so much energy. The problem was I wasn't getting much from them because I'd chosen the wrong course for various reasons.

Now I can appreciate things and process information, although I have to start at my level, since everyone is at different levels, depending on the field.  eg. I really struggle with finance, but psychology is a breeze when it comes into the picture.

Hi H:  Glad to hear you are enjoying your courses.  When I took a course, like you, it was two-fold.  Learning something new was always interesting and interacting and learning about the other participants was enjoyable too.  I don't want to grow stagnant, I want to continue to learn.  Sometimes I think we need more than one lifetime to learn everything which interests us.

As I begin to tweak my life activities, I find that my mood was better within a short time.  I took a second course in 3 days, and slept soundly.  Taking courses allowed me to meet some people, and interactive nature of the classes allowed me to express some pent-up emotions, I think.

Hugs, I would love even five minutes on my knees, I even tried gel pads but no way. I can be on them just long enough to get up if I fall down. I don't know why. I have knee caps but the knees are metal with a plastic pad between.
Still better than they were, little pain even after almost ten years.

Davit,
I feel my limits every time I have to clean on my knees, since I only last 20 minutes...and i'm on kneepads

Hugs

I think this may be more relevant to those of us with some disability. We feel more guilt if we don't get done what we want to never realizing that it is because we can't.

I have mood swings. Right now I am taking a mood stabilizer on an as needed basis to counter the additional pain I have. Mostly instead of the meds I like to say, what I get done is good enough, just some times it isn't. Right.

Hi Ashley,
I could challenge the thought, if it occured at the time.  In this case, I was attempting to explain the moodiness I had earlier

Hi Hugs,

Have you tried challenging negative thoughts when a situation like you describe arises? What are some positive thoughts that could replace these thoughts, "There are more situations than I have resources to deal with sometimes, and it drains me to find patience and politeness for others."?
