Good for you!  I'll bet many just gloss over your achievement, without realizing that others may be having the same problem staying at home, but it's called "telecommuting" or "cocooning" and not realizing how they're dropping out of society without the gains of engaing.  With some many things accessible from a computer or tv monitor, it can isolate those who are vulnerable to GAD.

You've got to be so proud!!! That is great news and I can't wait until I get stronger and am able to face my symptoms as you have! (high 5s her). You are definately on the road to recovery and I love how you chose to talk back to your negative thoughts and put them in their place :) This is fabulous :)

Today I went to see my new counselor and to tell you the truth I do not know if he is that experience with panic disorders. I guess I will wait until my second visit in 2 weeks to fully figure him out. My anxiety was up today. No full blown attack, but I did see little white stars off and on. I had a head ache a few hours ago but it is settling down now. I need to change a lot of things about my life, starting with my diet. Looking for a better tomorrow.

I am so happy to hear how well you are doing Zen. It gives me hope for the future you're kids must be so happy too! It warmed my heart to hear how happy you sounded! Hopefully one day I will get there too. You're right its alot of work but so worth it to feel alive again.

Good. But there will be set backs. So add one more self talk. "this is just part of getting better".
Every set back is just a marker for how far you have got ahead. You can't have set backs unless you have something to set back from. Keep at it and remember we are here with you. You can do this. You may be the lucky one that doesn't have set backs or they may be mild. The general rule is that the negative will try to sneak in under your guard. Just so you are prepared. "Enjoy life, that is what it is for."

I will tell myself that "I am strong" "I been through this before" "It will not hurt me". I know I am up against a fight, but I want to get better. Also I want to do it without meds. It almost feel like exercising and getting back into shape. A lot of work.

How can you remind yourself of this feeling when things get tough? Or if you have a set back?

Everything will be different! I will have more fun and do more with my kids. This is really affecting them and I do not want them to have a bad child hood because of it. I WILL go where I want to go. I WILL do anything my heart desires. I am just so happy thinking about it!
