Quote of the day

Meg,
I was cooking on wednesday, as I do on a night out, in a "whirlwind", but also serving food for mom, who is a senior.  As I rushed, I noted mom was coughing, and I realized later what I was doing to her, but rushing myself, since it affects others around you.

How do we pace ourselves without negatively affecting others

I know I don't want to be around others when are have certain characteristics.  eg.  questioning everything and thinking in circles, with perfectionism...like the reformed smoker, I dislike these qualities

Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right!

Hugs I really love the Holtz and Ghandi quote. I have been having trouble lately being motivated because of recent events. Everyone seems to be in a rush and I am just one of those people who like to take my time with everything because I hate being rushed. Thanks for the quotes!

Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.
- Lou Holtz

Ability talks about potential.  Motivation is dealing with choice.  Attitude determines your intensity, according to Holtz.

For Attitude, I think about the famous Eastern pacifist Ghandi, who stated "there's more to life than speed", so it's okay to pace oneself

There is a focus here, subtly asking us to change our behaviour from our present state to the desired state.

Once you begin to believe there is help "out there," you will know it to be true.
- Saint Bartholomew

Like the song lyrics, ."...reaching is out is hard to do...".  Once I find confidence, I find much of what i need, is inside me, but people outside provide partnership.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Letting go could be freeing
