What is the right amount of Posting

Thanks Davit & Samantha,
I think the right amount of time is whatever I need to keep me going, or if my mood  flags, and the things that need to get done, do get done.  It gets lonely on here on long weekends, holidays and really good weather.  Sometimes I became so busy I could barely post last month, and that was good, since it meant life was competing with this site, which is a complement, not replacement for productive living.

I'm afraid that collegue is beyond help, since I see the negativity of his supervisor shining through.  How to stop the cycle of violence in society is beyond the scope of this site.

Let's focus on our own behaviour and move on

Oh hugs, isn't it good to know you have friends here to compensate for the jerks out there.

Thankfully there are no shadows at high noon so you should be able to get away from that idiots insensitivity.

I'd put the tape on his mouth. But then I don't suffer fools well. Just my assertive side creeping over onto the aggressive. I think we men are better at pissing contests.

I know people that spend eighty hours a month on the computer, some playing scrabble with others at two in the morning. I guess that would be considered addiction.

I'm probably the biggest blabber mouth on this site but I do have to sit down once in a while. So here I be. Thing is people don't have to read it and it is not all consuming for me so I do it.
It doesn't interfere with what I have to do. Beats playing solitaire for hours.

Coffee isn't finished so I guess I have a few more minutes before back to the grind. I need a better word for retirement, what retirement.

Davit.

Coffee yes! Isn't that great, I can drink coffee again. Lovely!

Hi hugs,

If you feel that your posting is interferring with leading the life you want to lead then that is not a good thing.  Do what you feel is right.  If you think you benefit from posting more then great; if you feel that you would benefit from posting less and focusing on doing other activities then do that.  What do you think is the right amount of posting for you?

Thanks for all the feedback!

I suppose my concern was that, like any modality, if I spent more time posting than living the life I want to lead, it could undermine my progress.  Sometimes  I've heard of people being addicted to the internet.

Recently I met a neighour who became a colleague, by hiring into the toxic department I left, and the company.  I regretfully spoke to him recently, and he mentioned how good i was, but he stated it in a negative way.

Carl Jung talked about how any trait is a "shadow", and intellectually, I'm trying to shake the situation off, as my nightmares continue daily since the meeting thursday.   Similarly with posting, I can't agree that there isn't a limit, but I will agree that it is subjective.

I literally wish I would carry duct tape to put on my mouth so I can't speak to this neighbour, since the price was so great, and I can't undo the humiliation of bullying.  I'm even afraid of posting this meeting since some colleague might read this!  But the probability is so remote, and I guess I'm "magnifying" the negative event occurring.

Sorry to take anybody down the decayed recesses of my sad mind, but that's what I've lived with much of my life

Great question hugs,

There are a lot of different support groups on the web and it is good to do your research before joining one as some can have detrimental effects due to a negative environment, misinformation, constructive members, etc. What sets the Panic Center support group apart is a number of different things.  First of all, it is backed by a research based CBT program proven to work.  Second, it is free to members, there is no solicitation or gimmicks, no quick fixes promised.  Thirdly, it is moderated by Health Educators who are specially trained to maintain a positive atmosphere, keep content current and accurate and get members empowered and thinking about choices that are right for them.  To read more about what sets us apart visit www.evolutionhs.com.

With that all being said I can assure you there is no right amount of posts.  Post what you feel comfortable with.

Me too, Hugs.  first forum ever, never even been on a chat site.  Nervous when I first started, feeling weird posting some of my inner thoughts and feelings, but now I feel o.k. posting whenever I feel like it.  Hope others do too.  This is a good site, I imagine some aren't.  I say, post when you want, it's up to the individual. Come and go as you please, no pressure either way.  That's a good thing.

This is really the first forum I've felt comfortable joining, although I've been on it for a while.

I wonder how much members feel is enough, from their experience here, and on any other forum?
