Coping strategies

It annoys me that I get logged out once in a while because I want to read and correct my post so some times I have to send it in two posts. It hasn't been adequately explained to me why the time before log out couldn't be longer. I guess I'll have to learn to cut and paste too but it seems like an unnecessary step to me.
Just so you know you are not the only one.
By the way have you noticed the moderators spell things wrong too. If they can, so can I.

I used a coping strategy called distraction that Davit and Sunny talked about here on the forum and it worked for me..

I used distraction to help me when dealing with my panic and when doing exposure...

I was inside a large mega store getting ready to pick up some glasses. When I became overwhelmed and went into a high adrenalin state due to the fact that I was in the store and would have to deal with the personal and later a problem with my glasses being chipped..I walked around the store and let myself relax looking at things on the shelf until I could get my breathing slowed down and my blood pressure down..Than I went and talked to the personal and picked up my glasses. I went outside and discovered the lenses were chipped..I got upset and walked around outside till I could calm down again and went back inside and talked to the personal again..This is my third time at having these glasses redone..They say the third times a charm..They also say if you repeat a exposure repeatedly it gets easier and easier with time..I guess I will find out in another 7 to 10 days when I get to do it all over again..I will be going into to talk to the manager tomorrow or the next day to addresses the problems I am having with there service and products..
I had another post written up on this subject which was all edited and sequenced out, which was easier to read, showing all the steps that are involved in doing a exposure exercise for me beginning with the phone ringing and leaving the house to completion of the exposure..I couldn't edit it fast enough and got logged out..I don't know how to cut and paste so this version will have to do...I really wanted to show the steps involved in overcoming panic and doing exposure work..I guess that will have to wait for another time...

I have a question for everyone..I was wondering if anyone else uses coping strategies and if so what they are???

Sid.....
