It would appear so but I don't know why since core beliefs both negative and positive have such a large effect on our well being. Since it has been so well covered on this site I did not realize it was not in the tool box. I'm going to go to the sister site and see what it has to say.

Here for you,
Davit

This identifying core beliefs and working with them - is that kind of lesson only available at this sites Depression sister site?
I think this is something I need to work on.

I'm still going through several panic attacks a day and have an overall feeling of anxiety most of the time. Sure it's down fromthe previous 10 of almost a month ago to a 7 or even 5 on a good day, but I think it can be better. I'm not in any immediate danger to life or limb, a rational part of me recognizes that I'll get the house sold and move to where my fiancee is - so what's to worry about? Well, not much I suppose, but I worry nonetheless. I think this is due to a core belief that I haven't really identified and dealt with.

Sid

Think of core beliefs as brain washing you do to yourself and you will realize just how strong they can be and how hard the reconditioning can be. The recovery is worth it.

It is hard to fix something if you don't know why it is broke. And fixing it is what you want to do, all else is just surviving.

Here for you,
Davit. ( Welsh version of my real name, it keeps the confusion down here and at home )

Hi ~m,

I am not really gone..I have just decided to work on my core beliefs in the depression center for the time being..
I read a response to something you posted from the new Educator Vincenza and she mentioned that working on your core beliefs in the depression center might.be of help. I started in the depression before I came here to the panic center but never really worked on my core beliefs while I was there..Davit has mentioned core beliefs as being the root of the problem on several occasions here in the forum..So I decided that maybe I was strong enough now to start working on my core beliefs...
Anyway if you don't see me here you'll probably find me over in the depression center reading and working on the program there...

Your friend,
Sid.
p.s. I decided to start using my real name Sid now...

Red.... I've been offline for a couple of days... so I don't know what is going on but this doesn't sound right.  That all of a sudden you are ready to move on???  Something resonates with me but I don't know what it is... maybe just my own neediness but I think something is happening with you.  You have been so positive and so here for us.  Can you share a little more about what is really going on.  Please???  You need to take care of yourself... you do... and I support whatever decision you make, but I don't want you to just disappear  I don't understand.  Maybe just this once more you could not be soooooooo simple in your writing.... too much missing.

Thank you everyone...

I will be continuing to read the program here as needed and everyones posts. I will  also try to drop in from time to time and help encourage other members where I can...
I would say more but I am really trying to learn how to express myself in a simpler way..

Red,
I'll bet you can post some wonderful flowers, since Vincenza was asking what our favourites are.

Didn't you post some pic of a beautiful rose - it's my favourite!
