Red face, red neck!

I think that the redness is pretty normal, and many of us just flush more easily than others. On a hot day my cheeks and upper arms get red.. oh, and my ears get red sometimes, too!  As far as the PD goes, one time in Target with my husband (I'm not a fan of stores with no windows, btw.) he looked at me and was like "why is your face so red?"  It's just a temporary rise in body temperature and probably blood pressure, not a big deal.

I have this great biofeedback program that uses a finger sensor. And one of the things it measures is body temp, because it always rises according to your mindset.  So the red face and neck is totally normal, and it just looks worse on some of us because we flush easier because of how we're put together!

I'm glad you went to your doctor about it.  At least that eases your mind.

Have a great time at your massage tonight!  Let us know how it goes.

Went to the doctor about my lightheadness and he didn't seem concerned, so for now, i'm not either. My phsyc. doctor thinks I need more drugs that is why i'm lightheaded. I really wanted to just increase the paxil dosage, but  Oh well! I filled it and I might take it for 2 weeks during my PMS time as he suggested but I'm going to wait and see.''

I'm having that feverish feeling right now without the fever or redness, just in my head and neck area. I get a massage tonight so i'm excited.

Hi,

I get the really hot feeling and I look a bit flushed but I don't look red very easily, I don't blush easily too. But I had a friend, everytime she had to do public speaking she got hot and got these big red blotches all over her face neck and upper torso. As she calmed down it would slowly dissipate. Her doctor said it was perfectly normal. Hope this helps!

In the few long months that I have been suffering with anxiety I have only noticed this on me one time which was the other evening. I felt as if I had a fever my face was red, and my husband said i look like I have high blood pressure. I thought all god........I have high blood pressure, i'm going to have a stroke. I've never had high blood pressure even when I had a panic attack and was in the ER it was normal. It's always been normal even when I am highly anxious. I had a few good days the other week and when my symptoms returned it was a whole different set almost. Now I've been getting the hot feeling, sort of like a fever from the shoulders up. I get tension headaches and i've never had them before. I feel like I'm going through menopause but i'm only 33 so i don't think this is the case. I'm right there with you and I believe this is just a symptom of anxiety. I'm going to my family doctor next week cause I have a couple questions about some new symptoms. I just want to ease my mind. Maybe you could do the same just to ease your mind. My doctor convinced me in the early stages nothin was wrong with my heart, now I need convincing it's not my brain.

It is normal to get red or flushed when anxious. Your heart is pumping faster, making blood rush through your body which in turn makes you look flushed.

I think it would be a great idea to talk to your doctor.  He could prescribe u something that could mask the physical symptoms of the anxiety.  This way you will not appear that you have anxiety which is good because appearing anxious to other people sometimes can be very anxiety provoing in itself.

Hello everybody!
Did it happen to you to have  a  red face or red spots on your neck when having a panic attack?
What about when some people see and say "what is this?why are you red?"
Everytime it happens to me(only when my panic /fear level reaches 80%-90%) and people make remarks I feel worse...
Should I visit a doctor for the red spots that appear on my neck?I think that  having red ears or red face from time to time is normal but when I experience a  very strong panic attack I feel that my blood is going up to my head and that I am very hot like when you have fever. If it is a long panic attack and my fear level doesn't go down the spots on my neck don't disappear even if my face is less red.Everytime this happens I go and wash my face and neck with cold water and the spots are less red but they don't disappear immediately. What is your advice?
