St Johns Wort

St. Johns Wort  like Kava Kava is Not a safe option. in the long run it will do you no good. Stick to Bach Flower Remedies if you want something OTC. St johns wort can make you more than just sick. You have a Liver and Kidneys to consider also when you look at side effects. Do the program. It works and won't do you any damage.

Just need to be aware that you must not take St John's Wort with Lexapro and similar pharms, it is contraindicated as both work on your serotonin levels , so please avoid doubling up on these.

i have tried these about half a year ago and are sumwhat affective against anxiety but i found the longer i took them they didnt work but each person is different and works differently for everyone. my friend took them who has anxiety and the kalms night were very effective for her and calmed her down at night and she would swear by it. have you heard of rescue remedy? you can buy it in boots, holland and barrett and tesco i think and it comes in a liquid form and is suitable for all the family even your pets from what i have read all you do is add 4 drops to water (it smells like brandy) haha, and it is made up from flowers ( clementis-  for inattentiveness and to counteract faintness, star of bethlehem-  for shock,  Rock Rose- for terror and panic,  Impatiens - for irritation and impatience,  Cherry Plum-for irrational thoughts and lack of self control. as always tho ask the pharmasist before use to check its ok.

Hiya Karla,

well i tried it for a couple of days and it was easing my anxiety a little, it was like i was having my negative thoughts and waiting for my heart to start going fast and pound my chest but it just didnt happen, unfortunatlly it started to give me headaches every time i used it, so i havent took any today, so been feeling a lil anxious today but have been doing some excersise so thats helped quite abit (i dont normally excersise lol) i think i might try those Kalms that you can get from the chemist, has anybody else tried these?

Ive been using this for last 2 days and after a few bad weeks of anxiety and depression im already feeling a lift, not huge, but definatly there, the one i have comes in liquid form and i have to add it to water twice a day, its mainly for mild/moderate depression but ive also seen that its good for anxiety and im definatly not as anxious, so just thought id pass it on to you all, its a herbal medicine and can buy it over the counter although you will need to read up as you cant take it with other prescription drugs or the contraceptive pill
