I get the detached thing too, my throat feel like i have heartburn, but its not heartburn. I also get a sinking feeling in my stomach. I also shake. One time I tried to call my husband, and I was shaking so much I couldnt get the number on my cell phone, so I started panicking even more. I find the physical symptoms more scary, If I get one of them, then i start freaking out, if I dont get them, then i'm fine.

Hello everyone. I have this weird feeling that starts from my neck(around the adams apple) all the way down to the center of my chest. I don't know how to describe it but it's kind of like pressure and uncomfortable feeling. There's not pain and I can do aerobic exercises without any struggle, not coughing or anything... but it's there. Is this anxiety related?

Symptoms eh! The symptom I get that mostly does me in is absolute fear and the feeling of being detached or outside my body. I have actually left conferences in other countries and headed for the airport and jumped on a plane to get home and feel safe again. The problem was that you end up feeling worse once you are safe again because deep down you know you could've been more in control...It really does a number on your self-esteem which in turn perpetuates the panic attacks possibilities. Oh aren't we a bunch? lol. So many of those symptoms described by everyone are so familiar, and so normal for those of us who experience anxiety!!! Cheers. MichaelText

Oh...the symptoms.. I must say I was glad to see a lot of my symptoms are shared by you all. Not glad that you have them but that I'm not alone in them..lol.. I too experience tingling in my face..nose..etc. I always thought that was a bit odd but it always happens. I also get: *tingling in my hands etc. *sweaty palms and feet (ewww)lol *feeling like I can't swallow *not being able to take a deep breath *and my tummy and bladder get funny... every time... maybe too much info..lol. I don't find the physical nearly as bad as the mental personally. I get: *a feeling of depersonalization *racing thoughts *fears of going crazy, doing something erratic *fear of dying Often my thoughts trigger the anxiety attack... Thank you all for sharing ... Sometimes it's hard to put it out there for fear of being judged but in this open forum it's really nice to just be able to speak freely. I appreciate all your ears and feedback! :)

When I started having panic attacks 2 years ago my symptoms were... - Tingling feelings in my face, especially nose. - Tingling in my hands. One time my hands froze up completely I couldn't move them at all ! That was pretty scary. - Restless, tense in shoulders - A lot! Of burping... never stops. - Nausea, nausea, nausea. - Feeling of unreal... I get confused at what I am doing. - Fear of fainting. - Cold feet and hands. My recent panic attack symptoms are... - Restless, tense in shoulders - As always, A LOT of burping. - Nausea. - Feeling of unreal - My whole chest area, burning yet cold feeling. - Dizzy.. like I'm slowly falling back. - My ears burn up too. - Cold feet and hands.

Hmm when I am anxious I get dry mouth, dizzyness, I am winded, I get sweaty and cold hands, my heart beats loudly in my ears and impatience, uneasiness, edginess, vigilance, jumpiness. I also get many thoughts in my head, not good ones usually. When I am having a Panic Attack I get: €¢ Feelings of apprehension, worry or fear * Fear of dying, of a heart attack €¢ Anticipation of misfortune to self or others €¢ Poor concentration €¢ edginess, vigilance €¢ Dry mouth difficulty swallowing €¢ nausea vomiting €¢ Chest pain, palpitations, my heart beats fast and hard and I can hear it in my ears which makes it hard to hear anything else! €¢ Shakiness, dizziness, hyperventilation €¢ Sweating, tingling sensations €¢ Jumpiness, fatigue. * Oh and this is embarassing to say but my bladder and intestines get over active so that I often have to head quickly to ladies room... The weird thing is, theese symptoms or panic attacks in general, do not seem as scary as they used to. I think I am finally learning that my panic attacks only have the pwer over me that I give them in my head. My body can get all in an uproar but my head gets to choose how I react to it. One way or another tho, man I am happy that I found this program and that this is not something I have to feel too often anymore! Less sacray or not, it is an unpleasant experience. My life is so much better now! So all of you out there, remember, it can get better! -Diva
