Hello maddie, I just wanted to say that yes I do get discouraged sometimes with my progress, but it does get better. I think you got great advice about tthought challenging and distractions :) Hang in there, this too shall pass! -Diva

Thank you Maggie for your support. I am trying to stay occupied and find that this support site helps as well.

Hi Maddie, yes I've been there before...can you get yourself occupied with doing something and try and get your mind off the panic thoughts? What kind of pain are you having? Try and push yourself into doing something to get your mind off things, just try and let me know how you're doing.. ...thinking of you...Maggie

Got through New Year's Eve and Day fairly well but have been having pain and panic since supper. Does anyone else get discouraged with their progress and ability to cope? I am doing therapy and know all the right things to say to myself and to challenge the anxious thoughts but in the midst of a panic attack it is so hard to believe the positive affirmations.
