Hiya speldour,
Have you started the CBT program here? Even if you donèt suffer from an anxiety disorder I bet the first three or four sessions could really help you with your thought proceses. Those session teach you to identify bad thoughts and challenge them. It sounds to me like it could be helpful to you. I find thought challenging to work really well if you keep at it :) Also, I find when being idle makes me anxious, well find hobbies, lots and lots of hobbies. Read, go out with friends, play music listen to music, garden, whatever as long as it helps keep you distracted :)
Anyway, if you are looking for distraction hobbies there is a thread called drawing and coloring or something like that with an awesome list of possible hobbies. Also, as for thought challenging there is a thread on the forum that has tips for thought challenging.
Anyway, hope this helps a bit. I am sure one of the support specialist will be here to give you more advice soon :)
