Thanks, sue t, for your reply. I hope I won't feel bad after quitting them this time. in case I feel, I'll seriously talk to my doctor about how I feel.

Hi, I do sympathise with you, and wonder why your doctor wants you to quit taking your anti-depressants ? I too have had anxiety/panic, but have now thankfully overcome this, but remain on antidepressants as it seems that I have a diposition to this. I used to set myself goals, and time scales to come off, not sure why, but now accept that to lead a relatively normal life, I need them !! I now no longer have any hang ups about this, like I used to. If I was diabetic I would need to take medication for the rest of my life, so I personally don't see the difference. Depression is definately not your fault, you didn't ask for it !! Hope the other site is helpful for you, maybe its worth discussing with your doctor ? Good luck

Hi Madara, We have a very informative sister site that you may find helpful in answering some of your questions about depression. It is located at www.depressioncenter.net There is a direct link to this site located under "More Help" icon located at the top of the page. I am worrying about 1 thing. As soon as I stop taking medicine (antidepressants- Cipralex), I start to feel worse and now it's the time for me to quit it again (my doctor said so). I am afraid of feeling bad and depressive. Can depressive feeling and anxiety be cured without medicine? OK, I can fight with anxiety but why do I feel bad and depressed (physically and mentally) when I quit antidepressants? Does it show that it is some chemical reaction in my brain and is NOT my fault? Thanks for any advice.:)
