I cannot say i have had tongue twitches but i have had other types of twitches at times in my life. It seemed that when i was tired or stressed they would be worse. Atm, I am not having any twitching symptoms as of late. But i know it can be annoying. I am sure though that your doctor will figure it out and that all will be well.
