just a question, cant you get a home visit? as it would make it a lot easier, many places will do this, but not advertise this, so if you ask you might be lucky.

Paula, You're welcome, more than happy I could help! Keep working through the program, it will teach you how to control your anxiety. You can also try a search on the internet, there are a lot of how-to guides out there. Keep us posted on your struggles & progress. Hi Danielle, Thank you for answering my question. The main thing that always happens is, I worry until the appointment day, and then I have my husband cancel within hours of leaving. My panic becomes very low as soon as he's dialing the number. I'll try the deep breathing, but since I just found out I have agoraphobia, I'm not sure what other relaxation sources to try. I never leave my house, not even to go outside. I was at least attending doctor appointments when my husband could drive me, but in the last year that has become too hard for me. I will take the results to both the psychologist on the 7th., and the psychiatrist I see on the 28th. Thank you very much. Love, Hugs & Happiness, Paula

Hi Paula, Welcome to the Panic Center! Start working through the program it will help you deal with situations such as the one you've described. Before your appointment, try visualizing yourself getting and being at your appointment. When anxiety starts to creep in, practice challenging your anxious thoughts and keeping yourself calm through deep breathing and relaxation techniques. Keep practicing until you feel your anxiety is manageable and don't forget to bring the anxiety test to your psychologists. Hi everyone, I'm new here and through another group I found the Panic Center. I just took the anxiety quiz and it only confirms what two psychologists have told me. I have agoraphobia. The question is; since I'm trying so hard to get well, how do I make it to my doctors appointments? I feel "sort of" brave until that day, and then the panic sets in and I become petrified and have my husband cancel or reschedule. My new psychologist said that if I cancel without a 24 hour notice we will have to pay his full fee. Any advice? Thank you
