I am having trouble with panic attacks coming right out of the blue - lately I get really bad abdominal pain & headaches. I get 'out of control' dizzy inside my head & my whole body tingles with fear. I try to rationalise, I used to go to the doctor 2 times a week, I felt so safe at the doctors because if something happened the Physician would be there to look after it and I have a greater chance of survival (that can't be normal can it??!!). I have been doing the CBT Therapy and it is really helping - it has taken me nearly eight weeks and I am not even half way through! I have not been to the doctor in over 2 months. I do feel a lot like the way you feel, the frustration, the anger and just being so confused by it all - like something so close & yet so far away. Keep posting, it helps to get it off your chest - 10 times daily if you have to! You will always get support here.

Ripper, Try taking the panic test and bring a copy to your visit. This may help better assess the situation. The Panic Program is a treatment program thats all about getting you actively involved in your own improvement. It teaches you things you may not understand about panic and agoraphobia, your own panic, your own panic cycle, and as you learn and get involved, you begin the journey and the process of taking back control from a fear that at the moment is controlling you. The Program guides you through the process of getting back this control. It prepares you for this, one single step at a time, and gives you some homework to bring you along from session 1 to session 2, and onward, in a series of 12 sessions over a period of twelve weeks. I just had a panic attack. I know I get irritated, but today I got irritated and mad and frustrated all within a few minutes. I started crying, I gave myself a headache. I was hyperventilating. Im scared, it seems that these attacks are getting worse. Amd all in different ways. I now am still feeling anxiety, I feel sick to my stomach. I have a headache. I just dont know what to do. On the one hand I am happy cause I am going to the doctor tomorrow. On the other hand I am terrified. Anyone experience anything like it? I am hoping someone else has felt like this. I just dont know what to do.
