A good rule of thumb is to talk to your Doctor and Pharmacist regarding dosages and side effects. They have a world of knowledge to give. Keep Strong, Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Hi, I have just started this drug a little more than two weeks ago. In the past Ive been on Paxil, Zoloft, and Lexapro and all of those drugs gave me negative sexual side effects, so my doctor wants me to try Nortiptyline. The first few weeks were kind of rough, I felt dizzy, had dry moth, a horrible taste in my mouth and constipation, but after two weeks these side effects arent as severe, and Im happy to report that Im not experiencing the sexual side effects. As for how this medication is going to manage my anxiety, I think its too soon to tell. I also take .5 mg of Klonopin 3 times daily, but the goal is to wean off the Klonopin. I tried cutting back to two times a day but was experiencing a lot of depersonalization. So I cant say for sure if nortriptyline will work on its own. I havent been on it long enough to yet.
