psychologist dependence

It is very easy to become dependent on someone that makes everything seem like it is going to be fine. I went through the same thing. I would recommend that you start scheduling your visits at longer lengths. I went from seeing mine once a week to seeing him every other week and then every three weeks and then once a month and then as needed. It was hard at first but I decided that I needed to do this. Try to replace that visit with something else that you enjoy. Go for a walk during that time or visit a friend, go shopping, eat an ice cream cone. It sounds hard at first but you will get there. I have an awesome highly qualified psychologist. He calms me down, the whole world makes sense for a short time and everything seems possible. Unfortunately this is a limited insurance covered service. I feel like I am personally depending on him too much. There comes a time when you have to not depend on someone to make you feel better and you have to do it for yourself. Nevertheless, I still feel to weak to do this. Does anyone find themselves in a similar situation??? Please help
