Hi Motivation,

Nausea is very normal in withdrawal as is shaking, sweating, and cold sweats, and irritability.   But if you've been drinking daily for an extended period, which it sounds like you have, withdrawal from alcohol can be dangerous.   I'd call your Dr. or go to an ER and tell them you need help with detoxing.   They can give you meds that elieviate the symptoms and reduce the risk of seizure.   I've had 2 withdrawal seizures, and trust me, that's not something you want to experience.

I'm feeling symtoms that are horrible shaking felling like to ripe my own skin off. Felling real angry at everybody. There is a lot more to post about my info but one step at a time for me our I would be on this computer all night. Talk about stomach going crazy. This is one of the worse feelings you can experience. Just your whole body is going to cave with out a drink is this safe.

motivation,

Regarding withdrawal symptoms, these are different for everybody. If you have a concern and feel that you may benefit from medication, please speak to your doctor as they would be the best person to advise about this.

How are you currently dealing with withdrawal symptoms? Please share with us.

Members, please feel free to share your tips as well with respect to coping with withdrawal symptoms. Thanks in advance!

motivation,

Habits can indeed be very powerful, however you can overcome them! What are your motivations for healthy behaviour change? Do you have a strategy in place for dealing with cravings should they arise? You mention that your health is a concern; how can you keep this front of mind in your day to day life?

Please share with us. You can keep the quit! Don't give up!
