Hi Timbo, thank you!! Yesterday I also moved to the second step of the nicotine patch dropping to a lower level of nicotine. I have to admit I was rather apprehensive about making the move but the day went pretty much without a hitch. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised and was expecting the worse. So glad to be a non smoker. Again a big thank you for everyone's support.

Thanks for the reply Ashley. I guess I was expecting symptoms like these to be more prevalent in the earlier stages of quitting. Keeping on as today is my one month mark of being SMOKE FREE- WHOO HOO!

Great attitude Pappy!

Depression, unfortunately, is a common withdrawal symptom. Your central nervous system is out of order right now, but once it gets back in line you will feel better, have more energy and a number of other perks.  Keep on fighting.

No smoking, not now or EVER!!!

Hi Pappy,
You crack me up sometimes.   "good grief it just never gives up does it" Yes it does...eventually. Its different for each person. The longer you smoked, generally the longer it takes, but it WILL end soon. You are doing great on this attempt, and correct me if I'm wrong, your FIRST REAL attempt! It's kind of like riding a bull. Hang on tight for the ride of your life, and you will be ecstatic when its' over!
Stay strong Pappy.

Now I am not one for having feelings of depression. It was  pretty much an uneventful day in regards to stress or worries. So I am not quite sure where this feeling came from but out of the blue I had this overwhelming feeling of depression last night while watching TV.  It lasted for a few hours and then was gone as quickly as it appeared. I have to say my subconscious mind has really been working full time at tempting me to grab a smoke. Strange dreams and now this, good grief it just never gives up does it? So here is my thought for myself today to my subconscious. NO SMOKING, NOT NOW OR EVER AGAIN. GET IT!!!
