Depression and anxiety still at day 16?

6 years ago 0 3 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I remember having many overwhelming moments for quite a few months.  Day 16 is AMAZING but try not to be too surprised if the ride is a bit bumpy from time to time.  Try to be easy on yourself and seek comfort with those who understand and support you as much as possible.  Emotions are just bells and whistles.  Sometimes they need recallibrating- and that is what your body and mind are doing.

Hi Constijp,

Mood changes are very normal during a quit. It can be one of the hardest part of quitting actually.  Most people report a substantial improvement in mood 1 to 3 months after quitting. It has been awhile since you last posted. How are you feeling today?

Hey, I've been through exactly what you're describing, you are certainly not alone. I've tried a lot of the products out there, and while they temporarily may make you not crave a cigarette, it doesn't address the reason why a lot of us started puffing in the first place. If I were you, id give CBD oil a try. If you haven't heard of it, cbd is pretty much the 'therapeutic' property in cannabis that helps calm your nerves without getting you 'high'. Research has shown that it helps smokers quit, and I can agree first hand! Check it out, you can buy it at http://www.cbdpure.com/v/v4/?AFFID=288492

Good luck and hang in there!

I don't know how old you are or how long you smoked or how much.
Hey babe. Different people do it different ways. Cigarette smoking is the toughest to kick.
16 days is great but you've got some ways to go. Don't lose hope. That's awesome that you've done that much,.
Don't freak out. You're ok. It takes a while longer.
Please please don't feel discouraged (you will anyway but cut through it, it is temporary, ok?).
Each day, get up. Say you can do this. There is lot's of anxiety, depression, what the hell and all that. Just do it. That's the only way. Believe that you can and that the badness will ease.
You can do this. I know you can.

On day 16 of my quit, still experiencing depression and anxiety. My quit method was Zyban and after day 7 of my quit the anxiety was so bad that the pharmacist advised me to stop the medication. I did so and have not had nearly as much anxiety since. Depression has stayed steady or gotten a bit worse though. From when I get up until late afternoon or early evening it's bad then I feel better until I fall asleep. I sleep well, then it all starts over again in the morning. I' have a doctor appointment scheduled in a week, I plan on asking for medication to help. And advice for me in the meantime? Is this normal? I feel so discouraged right now...
