 Blah week - in progress...
Keep it up buddy you're doing great! Be sure and reward yourself.
As for editing a message, I do not think we have that capability on here.
Stay strong my friend.

Thank you, ermio. Do you happen to know if I can edit my posts. I made a spelling error in my last post and would really like to correct it. :)

Hi officeboy congratulation on 15 days. I was on chantex for the full three months they only made me a little irritable and I figured it was quitting smoking that made me irritable. As long as you keep your will power up and come here when you need help. you will get through the hard part. It has been almost a year for me and the benefits are incredible less coughing you start to feel better a lot more money in your pocket. Don't worry about anything just don't smoke this is the most important thing in your life right now. ermio

Good morning Isabella

Glad to have you as a quit buddy with help from each other we can beat this addiction. And yes mornings are the worst I try to do something to keep busy and distract my mind from the cravings the same for after meals. As mentioned in this thread in my original post I'm using Chantix but I'm tapering off due to side effects of bad muscle cramps and should be off by Friday. I'm still eating like mad but will give myself until next week to deal with this.

Hi Office Boy, Glad to have you as a quit buddy! We can do it! The morning one if also the hardest for me. The cravings during the day are getting easier though. Like you, I think that a few extra pounds is way better then smoking. My horse may not think so though....I will just continue to workout and try and watch what I eat so I don't gain too much. Are you going cold turkey or are you using something? Have a great smoke-free day!! Isabella

Good evening Tim

Thank you for your encouraging post, and yes it does make me feel proud. I'm still on my quit and the cravings are getting less frequent and shorter in duration but I find myself wanting to replace cigarettes with food any suggestions for this? If the worst that happens is that I gain a few extra pounds it will be worth it to be free of my addiction and I can always loose weight.

Hi Office boy,
Nine days and counting, I hope you're still on your quit. Being able to stop smoking after all these years kind of makes you feel proud of yourself doesn't it?
Be sure and treat yourself to a reward for all your efforts too, you deserve it!
Try and keep that positive attitude with you at all times too. You never know when you'll run into a situation where you will want a cigarette. That's how you used to cope with issues, light up a smoke. Now you have to re-train yourself to deal with issues without a cigarette. After awhile it does get easier, as you learn how to cope, without that nasty old habit.
Stay strong.

Good evening Ashley

Thank you for your support and encouragement. I have read through the program here and i have a support group of family and friends to encourage me. the challenges that having are getting better now on day 6 then they were on day one and two cravings are less frequent and shorter in there duration, I'm still fighting with the mornings and after meals. the positive for me is knowing that I can do this after 35 years of smoking i thought that i would never be able to kick this addiction.

Thank you,
Office boy
