Week 3 the worst

Im so sorry your going through this I have been nicotine free about the same amount of time and im feeling the same way but I am also dealing with every time I fall asleep I jerk ..just know someone out there is going through the same thing ...stay strong

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having such a bad week. When quitting your hands and fingers may tremble slightly and you may experience increased perspiration. However, the tremor is usually minor, and will subside as your body gets used to not smoking.
 
Tips to help: Frequent warm baths or showers can help dispel both the perspiration and the tremor. If you are concerned, consult your doctor to determine whether it is severe enough to warrant medication.
 
Anxiety is also common while quitting.  Chemicals in tobacco smoke affect your entire central nervous system. Because these chemicals have been messing with your nervous system, quitting can cause a feeling of nervousness, which sometimes lasts for a few days. And, when your central nervous system gets back in line, you may find that you have a keener sense of smell, taste, hearing, colour and depth perception.

Tips to help: Try relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing and exercise. Physical activity can also be helpful in expending that extra anxious energy.

If you have a symptom that persists or seems worse than you expected, you should immediately consult a doctor. Its possible that your smoking has been masking symptoms of some illness, and when you stop smoking the symptoms abruptly become noticeable.

Timbo is right in suggesting small rewards for each day of qutting, or each week. They need not be large or expensive, but just something you enjoy, to give your brain a reward.........just like you would finish something and reward yourself with a cigarette.  It does work.  You are on the quitting roller coaster now, where cravings come and go, and can surprise you this far on with their strength.
 
It's great to see your determination not to smoke shining through your post!
 
Whatever it takes, just don't smoke!!!

Physically you're over the hump, but the mental part is going to take a while. You CAN do this if you really are determined to beat the Nicodemon. The crazy cravings will lesson with time. Have you rewarded yourself for the success you've had so far? That actually does seem to help. Hang in there....

This has been the worst week for me.  The cravings have been so strong.  Stronger then week one and two.   And now the last 2 or 3 days I have had like anxiety attacks.  My hands are shaky and I just feel like I am bouncing off the ceiling.  I have tried eating thinking it was my blood sugar just being low but that has not helped.  I guess it is just my body saying how bad it wants a smoke.  Well I have to say to my body that it is not going to happen.  I am determined to stay stopped this time.
