It's your quit and you are doing it the way you need to do it! You will know when it is time to say goodbye to the patch just like you said goodbye to the cancer sticks! Like Lolly sez, "What ever it takes, just don't smoke!"
Hello Sparky Although I went cold turkey this time I have used the patch on previous quit attempts. What I did this time was to go out and buy the patch for a just in case scenario. As it turned out I didn't use them and after a while just got rid of them. What I'm saying is that I think it would be OK to continue with the patch and or keep some patches / lozenges / nic gum around for the just in case scenario. You've come a long way already so keep going because the worst is always behind you now. Excellent for you. breather
I have been researching the use of wearing the patch. Sunday will be ten weeks and I should be stopping the use of the patch. To tell you the truth I am not that secure in my quit yet. What I have read it says it would be ok to go six months on the patch. Knowing my past I am going to choose to remain on the patch a while longer. As of today I know I do not want to smoke, but............... So this is my plan for my final quit. So what do you think? I will talk to my doctor when I see her in the next few week.
