Great. I'm glad the forums and members helped you in your success! Stories like yours keep others motivated, as you probabaly can relate. Reasons related to health are often ones that have the most 'kick'.
Thank you everyone for the congrats! Tiana what really helped me stay quit was ice gold water exercise and spending a lot of time on the SSC site. For the first few months I spent all my free time on this site and there was always someone to encourage me when the gravings got bad. I also had a very big motivation to quit smoking, I had a surgery in september and the doctor said he did not want to do the surgery if I did not quit. So I did quit 9 months before the surgery and that really helped me stay quit. As for rewarding myself, well just seeing 300 smoke free days is a reward itself. I pray that I never smoke again....always need to stay on guard...
Now only 65 days to the next level of excellence! What do you think is your most effective strategy for resisting the urges? Have you been using a reward system?
Memie, congratulations on 300 smoke free days! I see a HUGE reward in your future to celebrate this milestone! Here's to the next 300 smoke free days, and beyond!
Wow I just noticed that I'm 300 hundred days smoke-free, I can't believe it went by so fast. I still get cravings sometimes after work but only when customers really stress me out .......I never never never want ot smoke again :)
