Wow -- Way to go, AussiePerson!!  Six weeks!!  I'd hand you a cigar, but that seems oddly inappropriate.
Maybe a krinkle or whatever it is you used to eat?  No.... How about an apple??

Seriously, I'm with Brenda; looking forward to hearing about your reward!  What did you end up doing to celebrate??

Sorry for not replying sooner, but I had some problems with the new format.  In any case, I am very happy that you have achieved such success.  You should be very proud of yourself, as this is a rather awkward journey.  Keep doing the things that work for you.  Cessation is not a passive activity.  It does seem rather straight forward at first view.  But it is not  simply about NOT doing something (smoking), it is about finding the things in our lives that allow us to change the former behavior.

Thanks Brenda and Tiana!  You know what Brenda?  I havent even thought of a celebration to be honest.  Im just so happy that that feels like a celebration on its own.  How do you celebrate milestones like this?

It's great to see your enthusiasm and pride. Keep it up!

And great that you are doing even MORE to keep yourself healthy. Regarding your comment- I think 'quitters' are a unique breed and super supportive like no other group of people I've seen! Good on y'all!

Thanks for the feedback, too. We love knowing that we help and that the programs are useful.

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that I am still here and sooooo excited because in a few more hours I will be smoke free for 6 full weeks.  Actually, writing that feels so good!  Thank you to the SSC program, the moderators and ofcourse all the wonderful non smokers on this website that have listened to me and offered support and advise.  I feel strong about my quit, even though I still get cravings (much less frequently now).  Ive also logged onto HWC so that I can manage my nutrition better because as you might know I was really concerned about putting on weight.  The HWC is a great resource and I get to write on my blog each day which is cool (even though noone writes to me- actually I dont think anyone even reads it which is quite sad), but HWC does  not seem to have as many members as SSC.  Must be more smokers around then over or under eaters!  My point is though, combined with these two valuable sites, minute by minute and day by day, I am changing my life around to a much healthier existance.  Thank you all!
